Chiara Guerrera, PhD
Chiara Guerrera, PhD, Chiara Guerrera is currently the Scientific Director of the Precision Medecine Proteomic Lab and the Proteomics platform at INSERM US24 in Paris. She has over 15 years of experience in the field of proteomics, having created and directed the Proteomic Platform Necker at INSERM since 2006. She is leading the development of innovative proteomic approaches for clinical research and precision medicine, with a focus on patient diagnosis, treatment follow-up and stratification through the integration of omics and clinical data. She has also worked as a post-doctoral researcher in medicinal chemistry at the Wolfson Institute for Biomedical Research and earned her PhD in biochemistry from University College London, where she focused on EGF signal transduction and phosphoproteomics.
Her achievements in research and development have been recognized with the Prix Innovation 2019 awarded by INSERM.
NECKER PROTEOMICS
The research focus of the Translational Proteomics Research Labis the application of mass spectrometry (MS) based proteomics to understand human health and disease. The study of the proteome of patients, integrated with their clinical data, could lead to the improvement of patient diagnosis and stratification, contributing to development and implementation of precision medicine.
