Pr. Fabrice Wendling is an internationally recognized expert in neuro- inspired computational models of epilepsy. He has proposed models from small-scale networks (detailed models) to larger scale systems (neural mass and neural field models) able to reproduce and explain epileptiform activity. He has also successfully combined computational, clinical, and experimental approaches to significantly improve our understanding of the mechanisms underlying epilepsy and has invented novel diagnostic procedures, in particular based on electrical stimulation.
Pr. Pascal Benquet is specialized in electrophysiology and is involved in the development of new, realistic, multiscale computational models based on neurophysiology for epilepsy research.
